Yay!!! congratulations on planning your small wedding. I know from experience what it is to plan a small wedding. When my husband and I got married we had a budget in mind and we only had fifty guests!Â
That brings me to tip number one:
Make a list of the most important people on your life that are friends and family that keeps with your life every day or very often. Eliminate people that barely know you or that your parents want you to parade you and show off you are getting married. Let's be honest some of the people on that list have not seen you in months and some times years, so keep it to your closest family and friends.
Tip number two:
Flowers, I have seen dry flowers take a big turn to being so real that I have had to make a double take when I photograph weddings. I specialize in weddings of less than 150 guests and I see that my brides are using more paper or not real flowers a lot more, however, they still look beautiful!
Tip number three:
Since you are saving on those two top items instead place your budget on a good quality photographer. Like I mentioned before, you want to capture your day and be realistic. You won't be able to go back and redo your day. If you care to have beautiful photos that you can print gorgeous photos to relive your day for years to come then hire the right photographer for you. For our small fifty guest wedding our budget for it was $3000 and we did albums, art wall and video.
